Blackout MMA: Mestrando Bicudo

Mestrando Bicudo has created an MMA Team in Brazil, called the Black Out Team, that also represents Aruandê Capoeira in the ring. The team has begun to spread across Mato Grosso and is gaining momentum in academies throughout state.

The idea behind the Black Out Team was to show new Capoeira students and practitioners of this type of martial arts that Capoeira can be an important vehicle necessary in practicing the sport of MMA. We are seeing today how can see how many capoeiristas hold a respect for MMA champions and with this in mind, Mestrando Bicudo resolved in 2008 to start training jiu-jitsu and then because of the high request for MMA, he soon after started training Muay Thai, and then boxing. In 2010, he began his work to create his team.

Now, he this renovating a space in the city of Tangara da Serra - MT in the Athletic Association of the Bank of BRAZIL,or the AABB, where he will continue his work with the BlackOut MMA team. The training will have complete CT training with an octagon mat and training for functional Capoeira, MMA, jiu-jitsu, boxing and MuayThai. In August 2012, Mestrando Bicudo participated in one of the biggest MMA events in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, winning 1st place in the fight.

Soon, an event that will take place featuring fighters from 5 to 6 states in Brazil - including Pará, Maranhão, Amazonas, São Paulo, Goiás and Rio de Janeiro. The event will have a professional 9.5 octagon, the official UFC competition size, scholarships for competitors, and more.
